Stephen L. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Stephen began their career as a Biological Sampler Senior Environmental Technician at Dougherty Sprague Environmental Inc. from May 1999 to April 2003. During this time, they collected samples for the NEFSC's Age & Growth study and Stock Assessment. Stephen L. obtained their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Southern Maine Technical College (now SMCC) from 1996 to 1999. In 2007, they pursued Professional Development Programs in Project Management at the University of Southern Maine, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification in QA and Process Management from Aveta Business Institute from 2012 to 2013. Stephen also participated in a Lean and DFSS Six Sigma program at Aveta Business Institute from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing. Stephen obtained a Black Belt in Six Sigma certification in March 2013 from Aveta Business Institute, and a Lean and DFSS certification in July 2009.
