Gilbert Martinez

Gilbert Martinez is an experienced freelance studio technician and floor director with a diverse background in broadcasting. Since December 2018, Gilbert has worked as a Studio Technician III at Spectrum. Concurrently, Gilbert has served as a Floor Director for CNN and KTLA since August 2015 and October 2018, respectively. Previously, Gilbert held the role of Broadcast Technician at MediaOne Studios from August 2014 to September 2019, and as a Robotic Camera Operator for REVOLT MEDIA & TV from November 2015 to September 2017. Notable prior positions include Floor Director for Bloomberg West TV from March 2011 to July 2015, and a lengthy tenure at CNN from 2001 to 2011, contributing to programming such as Anderson Cooper 360 and Larry King Live. Additionally, Gilbert's early career includes roles as a Studio Operations Technician at Manhattan Center Studios and a Production Assistant at FX Networks. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Film from Hunter College, obtained between 1991 and 1995.
