Steve Atkinson

Steve Atkinson is an Emmy Award-winning communications executive with extensive expertise in broadcast journalism, print media, and public speaking. From 2006 to 2022, they served as an anchor and reporter at ABC 10News San Diego, achieving consistent viewership growth, while winning 12 Emmy Awards for diverse reporting, including in-depth pieces on U.S. and Mexico border issues. Prior to this, they held prominent roles in sports anchoring across various networks, earning accolades such as the Edward R. Murrow Award and AP “Best Sports Reporter.” Currently, they are the Vice President of Executive Media Engagement at Spectrum Science. Steve holds a degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where they achieved a 4.33 GPA.
