Alessandro Grassi has extensive work experience in the field of site reliability engineering and data engineering. Alessandro is currently employed as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Tech Lead at Spectus.ai since February 2022. In this role, they are responsible for engineering site reliability technical solutions and coordinating their implementation among the team, as well as managing cloud infrastructure, system observability, and security.
Prior to their current role, Alessandro worked at Cuebiq from 2017 to 2022. During their time there, they held various positions, including Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, and Data Engineer. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, they engineered site reliability technical solutions, acted as a subject matter expert on Kubernetes, Kafka, and ELK stack, and managed stakeholders to drive the SRE agenda in the company. In their role as a Site Reliability Engineer, Alessandro designed monitoring and logging systems for microservices and big data jobs, designed cloud infrastructure, and supported software engineers in deploying their software. As a Data Engineer, they built and maintained pipelines and architectures for stream and batch processes, collaborated with data scientists to design and build analytic systems, and analyzed large datasets for data-driven design.
Before joining Cuebiq, Alessandro worked as a Big Data Consultant at Data Reply IT from 2015 to 2017.
Alessandro Grassi earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Università di Pavia in 2013. Alessandro then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science and Multimedia from the same university, which they completed in 2015. In 2012, they obtained a certification called EUCIP from CEPIS, and in 2008, they obtained the PET certification from Cambridge ESOL.
