Scott Smith is the current Director at Speedway Motorsports. Scott has also been the Co-Founder CEO of EchoPark Automotive, and the Co-Founder CEO President of Sonic Automotive.
Smith began their career in automotive retail in 1991 when they co-founded Sonic Automotive. Scott served as the company's CEO and President for over 25 years, during which time the company grew to become one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States. In 1997, Smith co-founded EchoPark Automotive, an automotive retail company specializing in pre-owned vehicles. Scott served as the company's CEO for over 20 years, during which time EchoPark became one of the largest and most successful pre-owned vehicle retailers in the country.
In 2019, Smith left Sonic Automotive and EchoPark Automotive to join Speedway Motorsports as the Director. Speedway Motorsports is a leading motorsports entertainment company that owns and operates multiple NASCAR tracks across the United States.
Scott Smith is a graduate of Rollins College where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
