Jen Farrant has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jen started their career in 2008 as a Voluntary Teaching Assistant before working as a Marketing Manager at Scalable Communications Plc. In 2009, they became a PGCE Student at Palmer's College, followed by a brief teaching position at Chase High School in 2010. Jen then returned to Palmer's College as a part-time Teacher in 2011.

In 2011, Jen Farrant also started their own consultancy, where they provided strategic development, research, and evaluation services, as well as photography and writing. Jen continued this freelance work until 2019, collaborating with organizations such as Trinity College, Arts Award, Stagecoach Theatre School, and the Royal Opera House Bridge.

From 2013 to 2019, while running their consultancy, Jen Farrant took on various roles as a Campaign Manager, Lecturer, Festival Director, and Consultant in the arts and education sectors. Jen worked on projects related to the Arts Award, Artsmark, and Theatre education, among others.

In 2014, Jen Farrant briefly worked as a Programme Manager for Arts Award at Royal Opera House Bridge. In 2019, they joined Spektrix as a Support & Training Consultant, and later moved up to the roles of Senior Consultant - Technical & Data and currently serves as their Business Intelligence Manager.

Jen Farrant has an education history that includes multiple degrees and fields of study. In 1997, they attended The University of Huddersfield and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Studies (hons.) in 2000. In 2009, they enrolled at the University of East London where they obtained a PGCE PCET (Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Post-Compulsory Education and Training) in 2010. In 2011, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths, University of London, completing it in 2012. More recently, in 2019, Jen Farrant began studying at The Open University for a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Data Science, which they are expected to complete in 2026.
