Amy Silverman

Amy Silverman is an experienced manager and therapist specializing in pre and post-adoption services, currently holding the position of Manager at Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children since April 2022. Previously, Amy served as Assistant Director at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, where oversight of management and clinical supervision was provided at Bryce House, a Tier II Domestic Violence shelter. Prior to that, Amy managed Housing Case Management Services at New York Disaster Interfaith Services, assisting over 800 families affected by Hurricane Sandy while supervising a team of 14 staff members across multiple offices. Additionally, at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, Amy held roles as Casework Supervisor and Program Manager in the Disaster Case Management Program, directing a team to support over 700 residents impacted by the same disaster. Amy earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Hunter College between 1989 and 1991.
