Joel Cotney has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Joel started their career at BRUNO'S SUPERMARKETS as a POS Analyst, where they supervised the installation of POS equipment in new stores and conducted training functions for various job skill sets. Joel then worked at EDS as a System Administrator for six years. Following that, Joel served as a POS Lead at Just for Feet before joining Footstar as a System Administrator. At Footstar, they coordinated the rollout of new POS systems to hundreds of stores and developed accounting and loss prevention tools. After Footstar, Joel worked at Wincor Nixdorf Services as a Services Installation Project Manager, where they supervised equipment installations, trained and supervised technicians and managers, created installation documentation and processes, and worked on hardware design modifications. Currently, Joel is a Project Manager at Spencer Technologies.
Joel Cotney obtained an Associates degree in Business Administration from Jefferson State Junior College between 1978 and 1981. Joel then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business-Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, completing their studies between 1981 and 1984. Furthermore, they took a course in Project Management at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2005.
