David R Spencer

David R Spencer has a long and varied work experience. In 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer of SpencerMetrics LLC, a company that provides production analytics, downtime analysis, and job estimating services. In the same year, they also became the CEO of SpencerMetrics, a company that specializes in automating the capture and analysis of real-time print factory data.

In 1989, they founded Spencer & Associates Publishing, Ltd., a product marketing research and support consultancy. In 1991, they became the owner of SpencerLab Digital Color Laboratory, a division of Spencer & Associates that provides test and analysis services in color printer quality, cost of operation, throughput performance, usability, cartridge reliability, and availability utilization.

In 1994, they began contributing as an industry analyst, following companies ranging from Hewlett-Packard and Xerox to startups, with particular interest in color printing in all its aspects. In 2003, they became a Director at Large and Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the MIT Club of Long Island.

In 2012, they co-founded Spencer Selects for Pancreatic Cancer/The Lustgarten Foundation, an event at their East Hampton home that featured jewelry artists, Neuhaus belgian chocolates, and Long Island wine. David R has also served as an Outside Director for Xerox Technology Ventures and a Founder, President, Chairman/CEO for Data Recording Systems, Inc.

David R Spencer obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1958 to 1964. David R then continued their studies at MIT and received their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1967-1968, with a focus in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering.
