Spero Family Services
Amanda Winchell has extensive experience in mental health and counseling services, currently serving as the Play Therapy Coordinator, Assistant Program Manager, and Supervisor at Spero Family Services since March 2016. Previously, Amanda was a Substance Abuse Counselor and Mental Health Therapist at the Community Resource Center from January 2013 to March 2016, and worked as a Counselor and Case Manager at YouthBuild of Jefferson County from October 2011 to December 2012. Amanda's early career includes a role as a Foster Care Case Assistant at the United Methodist Children's Home, where responsibilities included assisting the foster care team and providing life skills training to youth. Amanda holds a Master of Arts in Human Services from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.

As you can see, we have a new name, but our faith-based mission, vision and professional services will remain the same. Not only that, but we are expanding our services to reach even more people in need around this community and many others!
