Erika Nel is a Junior Fire Systems Design Engineer at Sperosens since August 2023, following an extensive tenure at FIRELAB from July 2015 to August 2023 as a Fire Testing Technician and Testing Officer. At FIRELAB, Erika conducted and managed various fire tests, analyzed data, wrote and reviewed reports, and participated in technical committees, gaining a thorough understanding of regulations and standards. Prior to that, from January 2015 to June 2015, Erika worked as a Fabricator at Syd Vertue and Son, gaining hands-on experience with various cutting and measuring equipment. Erika holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, completed between 2016 and 2017.
