Martin Baitz

Martin Baitz is a seasoned expert in life-cycle sustainability with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Life-Cycle-Sustainability Expert at Sphera since January 2020, Martin specializes in LCA database development, quality assurance, and supports global sustainability networks. Prior to this, Martin was an Associate Lecturer in Life Cycle Assessment at Hochschule Esslingen from 2019 to 2023 and held significant positions at thinkstep, including Director Content and Director Process and Material Sustainability, where responsibilities included database management, content development, and staff training. Earlier roles included managerial and research positions at PE International GmbH and the University of Stuttgart, with foundational experience as a Technical Operator at IBM. Martin holds a Dr.-Ing. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.
