Eric PK Chan

Eric PK Chan has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Eric PK began their career at the City University of Hong Kong as a Senior Education Development Officer, Education Development Officer, and Research Partnership Development Officer. In this role, they identified university-industry collaboration strategies and proposed opportunities with high social and economic impacts. Eric PK also explored critical collaboration and joint venture initiatives with 6 companies and developed university-industry research partnerships. Eric PK then moved to Tech Transfer Officer, where they solicited and evaluated invention disclosures for commercial and technical feasibility. Eric PK drafted, reviewed, and executed multiple agreements and leveraged industry networks resulting in sponsored research projects and university-industry collaboration projects. Eric PK also provided consultation to researchers on intellectual property issues and assisted 45 researchers in identifying and protecting the core intellectual property of their research outputs. Eric PK Chan is currently working as Intellectual Property Manager for Sphere Fluidics Limited since 2022.

Eric PK Chan received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology from City University of Hong Kong in 2002. In 2018, they obtained a Certified IP Manager certification from The Hong Kong Brands Protection Alliance. In 2016-2018, they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Professional and Vocational Education from The Education University of Hong Kong. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Medical Sciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995-1997, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991-1995.
