Melanie D'astous

Melanie D'astous is the VP, Business Affairs & Financing, Montréal at Sphère Média. Melanie has over 20 years of experience in the media industry, working in both Canada and the United States.

D'astous began their career as a production assistant at Cinar in 1997. Melanie was quickly promoted to operations manager and then to producer delegate/responsible for legal and financial affairs at Groupe de compagnies Paul Cadieux. In 2010, they joined Trio Orange as vice president of administration and finance. D'astous was promoted to productrice, directrices des affaires juridiques et financières in 2013 and held this position until they left the company in 2015.

Melanie then took a position as gestionnaire des opérations at Daily tous les jours before moving to Productions Pixcom Inc. as financement et contrats in December 2015. D'astous has been with Sphère Média since May 2018.

Melanie D'astous reports to Bruno Dubé, CEO. They work with Renaud Chassé - EVP, Unscripted & Documentaries, French Content, Marlo Miazga - President, Executive Producer Unscripted, BGM & MD, Toronto, and Jacques Bilodeau - President, Sphere Animation.
