Karis Smith

Karis Smith is a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in project management for site development projects in Texas and Louisiana. Currently employed at Spiars Engineering & Surveying since October 2021, Karis previously worked as a Design Engineer at Jones|Carter from June 2017 to September 2021, where responsibilities included coordination with various stakeholders, schedule management, project invoicing, design oversight, and staff training. Prior experience includes a role as a Project Intern at Austin Commercial in 2016, where Karis assisted in updating material logs, submitting RFIs, and conducting site tours. Karis began the career journey as a General Store Manager at Frontier Camp in 2015 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, earned in June 2017.
