David Owens has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and positions. David started their career in the US Navy as a Deep Sea Diver/Supervisor, where they instructed students on various skills and supervised a team. After leaving the Navy, they worked as a Retail Store Manager for The Limited and later for GARY's LLC, where they managed teams, scheduled workloads, and ensured financial goals were met.

David then transitioned into the technology field, starting as a Technical Support Technician at COMP USA, where they consulted with clients and provided software support. David later worked as a Certified Technical Instructor at RJR NEW HORIZONS TRAINING, educating professionals on software products and leading certification courses.

In 2002, David started their own consulting firm called Owens Consulting, where they provided IT solutions to home users and small businesses. David maintained a client base and designed custom applications to meet their needs. David then moved on to work as an IT Support Technician at Sempra Energy, where they provided executive support and developed strategies for client satisfaction.

David's next role was at Express Scripts, where they served as a Senior Manager, overseeing a team of System Administrators and ensuring the reliability and stability of the servers. Following that, they worked as the Assistant IT Director for Osceola County, where they played a key role in strategic planning, delivery of IT services, and technology evaluation and implementation.

Most recently, David worked as the Vice President of Information Technology at Spice World, where they held a leadership position overseeing the IT department.

David Owens completed their Bachelor of Science in Management with a focus on Business Administration and Management from California Coast University between 2013 and 2015. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including GSLC from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in August 2017, Network+ from CompTIA in July 2002, MCSA from Microsoft in June 2002, and A+ from CompTIA in March 2001. David also has certifications in ITIL v3 Foundation, ITIL v3 Intermediate Continual Service Improvement, ITIL v3 Intermediate Service Design, ITIL v3 Intermediate Service Operation, ITIL v3 Intermediate Service Transition, and ITIL v3 intermediate Service Strategy from various institutions.
