Senior Engineer Microfluidics at Spiden

Onur Gökçe has diverse work experience in the scientific and engineering fields. Onur started their career as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Sabanci University from October 2004 to August 2007. Onur then continued as a Research Assistant at Sabanci University from October 2004 to June 2006.

In 2008, Onur joined the MPI of Neurobiology as a Doctoral and Postdoctoral Scientist. Onur worked there until March 2014.

From July 2014 to September 2018, they served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at IBM.

In December 2018, they moved on to become a Scientist at ETH Zurich and the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. Onur held this position until December 2020.

Onur Gökçe then transitioned to 1DROP Diagnostics, where they worked as a Senior Diagnostic Platform Developer from September 2021 to January 2023.

Currently, they are working at Spiden as a Senior Engineer Microfluidics from February 2023.

Onur Gökçe began their education at Robert College from 1993 to 2000, where they pursued their primary and secondary education. Following this, they attended Sabanci University from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Moving forward, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at Sabanci University. Finally, Onur Gökçe completed their education at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2007 to 2014, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of Systemic Neurosciences from the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences.
