Electronics Engineering Manager at Spiden

Paolo Livi, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Paolo began their career at ETH Zurich in 2008 as a Research Assistant and PhD Student, where they completed their PhD thesis focused on CMOS circuits for high-density neural interfaces and nanowire sensor arrays. Their research activities included designing, simulating, and characterizing interface circuitry for CMOS integrated bio-chemical sensors, as well as designing and simulating novel bio-chemical sensors based on nanoscale devices.

In 2014, Paolo Livi transitioned to the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich, where they worked until 2015.

In 2015, Paolo Livi joined DECTRIS Ltd. as an ASIC Design Engineer, where they remained until 2018.

Since 2018, Paolo Livi has been working at Spiden, initially as an ASIC Engineer and later as the Electronics Engineering Team Lead.

Paolo Livi, PhD, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2006. Paolo then pursued a Master's degree in Micro and Nanotechnology for Integrated Systems at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2006 to 2008. Finally, they completed their education journey with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ETH Zürich from 2008 to 2014.
