Matt Martinez

Manager, Product Development at Spigot Inc.

Matt Martinez has a wealth of experience in the technology sector. Matt began their career in 2014 as a Library Assistant and Official Trainer, Computing Technology Systems at Florida Gulf Coast University. In this role, they were promoted to Official Trainer, being the only student staff member to receive a promotion. Matt was in charge of training new Computing Support Specialists as well as being their go-to guy for questions and emergencies. Matt also monitored network and system statistics using various software, while simultaneously keeping extensive logs of all day to day tasks and abnormal findings.

In 2015, they took on the role of Software Engineer Intern at Hertz, where they worked on the Hertz Revenue Inquiry Application. This was a three person, two semester project based unpaid internship. Matt was responsible for designing and implementing a web application that handles user queries to a database of tables, where users without database experience can easily add to and edit records.

In 2016, Matt Martinez began working at Spigot, Inc. where they have held various roles. Matt began as Manager of Product Development, then moved to Team Lead of Engineering, and then Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they worked at a top-contending Global Digital Media Advertising company dealing in millions of monthly installs from around the world for the Browser Extensions they design and implement, with a majority of the traffic being on Chrome. Matt worked heavily on both internal and partner network products. Matt also held the role of Software Engineer, and Web Developer. As a Web Developer, they worked on all sides of the business, from setting up high converting landing pages to creating and optimizing the home screens of their Extensions.

Matt Martinez attended Florida Gulf Coast University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Software Engineering.
