Itay Szekely

Itay Szekely has over 25 years of work experience in software development. Itay began their career in 1993 as a Programmer at e-SIM, where they participated in the development of a prototyping and simulation software for consumer electronics using C++ and Smalltalk on Windows NT, 95 and 3. 11. In 1998, they worked as a Senior Programmer at MediVision Medical Imaging and as a Programmer at Way2call. In 2001, they joined Emblaze Systems as a Senior Programmer and designed and implemented a multimedia application framework for video and audio streaming using C++ on Windows, DirectShow and ACM/VCM. In 2002, they moved to LSI Logic as a Senior Programmer and developed a highly reliable distributed system using database integration, SCSI over Fibre Channel communication with RAIDs and hosts, CORBA IPC and infrastructure elements. In 2011, they joined INFINIDAT as a Senior Programmer and mainly worked with C++ on Linux and some Python. In 2013, they founded BuddyGuards and worked as the Founder/CTO, doing Android development (Java) and iOS development with Appcelerator/Titanium. Itay also worked as a Programmer at Spike in 2013.

Itay Szekely obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 1992, having started their studies in 1988.
