Lori Thompson

Lori Thompson is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in litigation and bankruptcy law. Currently a Member at Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC since August 2019, Lori focuses on representing businesses and individuals in diverse legal matters, including banking, contract disputes, and family law, while also serving as Chair of the firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Corporate Secretary. Previously, Lori held significant roles at LeClairRyan from May 2005 to August 2019, including General Counsel and Roanoke Office Leader, where expertise in creditors' rights and business law was emphasized. Lori's legal career began at Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore from September 1997 to January 2005 as a Partner. Educational credentials include a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, a BS in Social Science from Radford University, and completion of the Batten Leadership Program in Organizational Leadership at Hollins University.
