Tara Deakin

Tara Deakin serves as the Chief People Officer at Spin Master since June 2019, overseeing HR, Communications, and Corporate Citizenship for the global children's entertainment company. In addition, Tara is a Board Member of WiT - Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment and holds the position of Director and Chair of the Human Resources Committee at goeasy Ltd. Previous roles include Board Director and Chair of the PHF Strategic Advisory Council at St. Michael's Hospital Foundation, Director and Vice-Chair at Providence Healthcare, and SVP of Talent at TD, where responsibility included leading the talent and organizational development strategy for 95,000 employees. Tara's extensive experience also encompasses leadership roles at Citi as Managing Director and Chief Learning and Knowledge Officer, as well as earlier positions at Rogers Communications in various capacities focused on training and development. Educational credentials include degrees from Western University, Central Michigan University, and specialized executive education at INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
