John Soloninka has a diverse and extensive work experience. John is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at SpinaFX Medical since April 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the same company from October 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining SpinaFX Medical, John worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Ryte.ai starting from September 2019. At Ryte.ai, they were responsible for utilizing AI and big data to provide users with comprehensive information about medical professionals and facilities.

From 2015, John served as the President and Founder of Accelerant Health Innovations Inc. Additionally, John has worked as a Volunteer Advisor at MaRS Discovery District, the world's largest urban innovation hub in Toronto. John provided guidance to early-stage healthtech companies as an entrepreneur volunteer.

In the past, John held the position of CEO at Medlantis.org from June 2017 to February 2019. Medlantis.org is a platform that aggregates and provides digital medical videos, focusing on subspecialties such as interventional radiology, cardiology, spine surgery, and oncology.

John also served as the SVP of Acquisitions and Exits at Relay Medical Corp. from 2017 to 2019, an innovative medtech incubator specializing in commercializing stranded IP. Before that, John worked as the Director of the Centre for Imaging Technology Commercialization (CImTeC) from March 2011 to January 2016. CImTeC offered business expertise and technical capabilities to innovators in the medical imaging field.

John's work experience also includes roles at Ontario Brain Institute, where they served as the Co-Chair of the Ontario Brain Innovation Council and later as an Industry Advisory Board Member from 2011 to 2015. John played a crucial role in creating medtech collaborations between Canada and Israel in neuroscience.

Furthermore, John served on the Board of Directors at Baycrest from 2012 to 2015, an organization focused on providing comprehensive healthcare services for the aging population.

Prior to all these positions, John served as the President and CEO of HTX from July 2010 to October 2015. HTX oversaw funding for early-stage medtech companies and supported healthcare providers in addressing unmet healthcare needs.

In summary, John Soloninka has held various leadership roles in the healthcare and technology sectors, with extensive experience in operational management, consulting, technology commercialization, and strategic partnerships.

John Soloninka completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering Physics from Queen's University between 1977 and 1981. John then went on to pursue an MBA (MSc Mgmt Science, with Distinction) in Business Administration with a focus on IT & Analytics from the University of London from 1985 to 1986. In 2009 to 2011, they attended Stanford University, participating in the St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar. It is unknown whether they obtained a degree during that time.
