Odd Martin Staal

Odd Martin Staal has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and development. Odd Martin began their career as a Scientist at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment in 2006 and remained in this role for two years. In 2008, they joined Axis-Shield PoC as an Instrument Engineer and Software Developer, where they contributed to embedded software development and data mining. Odd Martin also played a role in developing new assays. After four years at Axis-Shield PoC, Staal transitioned to Prediktor Medical AS in 2012 and served as a Senior Software Developer and Manager of the SW team until 2014. Odd Martin then took on the position of Senior Scientist at Prediktor Medical AS from 2015 to 2020. Most recently, Staal joined SpinChip Diagnostics AS in 2020 as a Senior Scientist and Developer.

Odd Martin Staal completed their PhD in Medical Cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Technology/Sivilingeniør in Medical Cybernetics from NTNU from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, they spent an exchange year from NTNU at The University of Western Australia from 2004 to 2005.
