Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT

Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT has a diverse range of work experience in the field of physical therapy. Dr. Lissa is currently the Director of Clinical Operations at Livara since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SpineZone starting from 2012, where they held various roles such as Director of Clinical Operations and Clinic Director/Regional Clinic Manager. In these positions, Dr. Taitano was responsible for developing MSK treatment pathways, leading the design and implementation of clinical services and programs, and transitioning the company from physical therapy-based care to value-based care. Dr. Lissa also scaled the company's clinics and online program while maintaining high-quality clinical outcomes. Before SpineZone, Dr. Taitano worked at the University of California San Diego - Recreation from 2011 to 2013, providing injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for student athletes. Dr. Lissa also worked at Southwestern Community College District as a sports therapist from 2012 to 2013, where they provided injury assessment, treatment, and return-to-sport protocols for student athletes.

Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT completed their Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, specializing in Physical Therapy/Therapist, from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they attended San Diego State University and obtained a degree in Kinesiology: Athletic Training. Dr. Taitano has also acquired additional certifications, including "The Game Changer" from Exos in March 2023, a Doctor of Physical Therapy certification from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy in December 2018, and is currently in the process of obtaining a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Six Sigma Online; Aveta Business Institute.
