Jasper Velthuizen

Jasper Velthuizen is a mechanical design engineer who has worked for Ultimaker, MINIBREW, and Grillsupport/ROAST it. Jasper is currently employed at Spinn.

Velthuizen began their career in 2013 as a student adviser for the University of Twente. In this role, they helped potential students with their applications and answered any questions they had about the mechanical engineering program. Jasper also gave tours of the campus and facilities.

In 2015, they started working as a catering assistant for Grillsupport. In this role, they were responsible for organizing and set-up for catering events. Jasper also helped with food preparation and served guests during the event.

In 2016, they began working as a video lecture assistant for the University of Twente. In this role, they were responsible for setting up cameras and recording lectures. Jasper also edited videos and created graphic slideshows to accompany the lectures.

In 2019, they interned at Ultimaker as a mechanical design engineer. During their time there, they researched the influence of the climate around the nozzle on the quality of functional models built using Fused Filament Fabrication.

Jasper left Ultimaker in 2020 to work for MINIBREW as a hardware development assistant. In this role, they were responsible for developing and testing new hardware prototypes. Jasper also helped with troubleshooting and customer support.

Jasper is currently employed at Spinn in an unknown role.

Jasper Velthuizen received their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente. Jasper also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and a first year certificate in Werktuigbouwkunde from Saxion University of Applied Sciences. In addition, they are certified in Triz level 2 from XTRIZ.
