Gavin Silkstone

Gavin Silkstone has extensive work experience in the field of SAP project management and consulting. Gavin started their career as a SAP CO Consultant and Team Lead at Northern Foods in 2004. Gavin then worked as a SAP CO-PC Consultant at Novartis in 2006 and as a SAP CO Consultant at BASF from 2007 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a SAP CO Consultant at Orion Pharma, followed by roles as a SAP Team Manager and SAP CO IT Champion at Mettler Toledo from 2009 to 2014. Gavin then held various senior SAP Project Manager positions at Thomas Cook Group, Omnico Group, and Walgreens Boots Alliance from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Wilko as a Senior SAP Project Manager and Programme Manager, where they led a team of SAP Finance consultants on a 'Discovery project' to assess current systems and evaluate replacement alternatives. Since 2017, they have been serving as the Director of Support Services at Spinnaker Support.

Gavin Silkstone attended the University of Cape Town from 1989 to 2003, where they obtained a B.Comm degree in Commerce. In addition, they obtained a certification in "Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 1 Cloud Concepts" from LinkedIn in 2022.
