Ahmed Shafik

Ahmed Shafik, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ahmed is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Spinneys Egypt since June 2021. Prior to this, they were the Finance Director at Saint-Gobain Gyproc Egypt from November 2017 to May 2021.

Before joining Saint-Gobain Gyproc Egypt, Ahmed worked as the Director Finance Controlling at Parker Drilling Company from April 2015 to October 2017. Ahmed also served as the Regional Controller Manager at DRAEXLMAIER UK from February 2014 to March 2015.

Ahmed's experience also includes being the Finance Director at SEWS-E from June 2011 to February 2014. Ahmed joined Weatherford in January 2007 and held various roles such as Financial Manager, AR Controller, and Deputy Credit Manager until June 2011.

Starting their career at GSK in November 1999, Ahmed worked in various roles in Finance until December 2006.

With a strong background in financial management and extensive experience in diverse industries, Ahmed Shafik brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role as the Chief Financial Officer at Spinneys Egypt.

Ahmed Shafik, MBA began their educational journey in 1996, when they attended Ain Shams University. During their time there, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, which they successfully completed in 1999. After a significant gap in their education, Shafik returned to academia in 2011. Ahmed enrolled in Paris ESLSCA Business School, where they pursued an MBA in Finance. This program spanned from 2011 to 2013, culminating in the successful completion of their degree. In 2013, Shafik further deepened their knowledge in the field of accounting by enrolling in a short-term course offered by The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. This course focused on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Although no formal degree was awarded for this course, it offered Shafik valuable specialization and expertise in the area of IFRS.
