Arto Salminen

Arto Salminen is a Senior Development Engineer with extensive experience in the field of material science, particularly in developing environmentally friendly yarn technology at SPINNOVA® since September 2015. Prior to this role, Arto worked at Aalto University School of Science and Technology from April 2004 to August 2015 as a Researcher and Doctoral Student, focusing on the utilization of cellulosics and development of functional composite materials, with key projects involving gas and vapor barrier films and hydrophobic modifications of nanocellulose. Arto also had significant responsibilities related to NMR spectrometer operations and training at Aalto University, alongside leading projects on nanocellulose applications. Arto holds a Master of Science in Polymer Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
