Peter Damant has extensive experience in engineering and management across various industries. Beginning a career at Xstrata Rustenburg Works, Peter served as Maintenance Planner, Plant Engineer, and Project Engineer. Transitioning to Hulamin, Peter advanced from Process Engineer to Manufacturing Area Manager in the Foil Rolling Division, later becoming a Product Specialist and Market Manager for sheet and plate products. Peter held the position of General Manager in Bosal Afrika's Industrial Division before joining Spirax Sarco, where Peter has served as Managing Director from February 2008 to February 2025 and currently holds the role of General Manager for Eastern & Southern Africa. Peter's educational credentials include an M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, an MBL in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa, and completion of the Fast Track Advanced Management Programme at Ashridge Executive Education.
