Matthew Philpott

Matthew Philpott has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Matthew started their career as a Graduate Software Engineer at Spider Systems in 1994 and later joined Shiva Europe Limited as a Software Engineer. Matthew worked on OEM protocol stacks, embedded ISDN router development, network management systems, and communications/terminal server development. In 1995, Spider Systems was bought by Shiva, and Matthew continued working with networking embedded systems equipment.

In 1998, they joined Nortel Networks as a Software Engineer, where they mainly focused on voice over frame relay embedded systems. After three years, they moved to Spirent Communications as a Principal Engineer, working with performance assurance broadband in their Calabasas facility. Matthew has also worked at their Rockville MD Service Assurance Broadband division on projects involving SONET/SDH and DSL.

Matthew Philpott attended The University of Edinburgh from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
