Abel Barraza

Abel Barraza, MSME, is an experienced engineer currently serving as an Advanced Product Research and Development Engineer at Spirit AeroSystems since June 2021. Prior experience includes a position as a Manufacturing Engineer at Northrop Grumman from June 2020 to June 2021, and an HVAC Design Intern at Johnson Controls from June 2018 to June 2020. Abel also completed a Project Engineering Internship at BOMBARDIER, where responsibilities included schedule preparation and technical studies for the new CSeries (A220) commercial aircraft, and served as a Production Engineering Co-op at Toyota North America, focusing on pre-production planning and assembly line design projects. Abel holds a Master of Science in Materials Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University, with studies spanning from 2014 to 2024.
