Gillian Cameron began their work experience in 2002 as a Graduate Engineer at BAE Systems Aerostructures, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they held the role of Design Engineer. In 2006, they joined Spirit AeroSystems and worked as a Stress Engineer until 2008. Gillian then advanced to the position of Senior Stress Engineer and held that role until 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Stress Process Improvement Engineer. In 2019, they became a Process Improvement Lead at Spirit AeroSystems. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of Design Assurance, Processes, Methods and Tools, and in 2021, they were promoted to Design Assurance Lead at the company.
Gillian Cameron obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI, Lean Production, and Six Sigma. The certifications were obtained from edX and edX (TUMx) in the years 2020 and 2021.
