Michael A. Walker

Michael A. Walker has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as the Manager of Metallic Materials & Process Engineering and R&D at Spirit AeroSystems since October 2008. In this role, Michael oversees the engineering and research efforts for commercial and defense aircraft programs, collaborating with major clients such as Boeing, Airbus, and Sikorsky. Prior to this, Michael held significant positions at Lockheed Martin Space Systems, including Quality Lab Metallurgist and Technical Lead for the Materials Technology Lab, as well as serving as Lead Metallurgical Engineer at Instar Engineering & Consulting, where responsibilities included rewriting NASA's Fastener Design Manual. Michael holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a B.A. in Engineering Science & Mathematics from Regis University.
