Lauren Dito currently serves as the Senior Executive Coordinator at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, providing complex and confidential support to the Executive Director and various councils. Prior to this role, Lauren worked as the Governance Administrator at the same center, managing teacher council activities, communications, and professional development training. Experience includes leadership positions at the California Department of Health Care Services as Section Chief, overseeing Plan Monitoring and Compliance staff, and as Director of Hospitality at San Francisco Zen Center, where responsibilities encompassed building and managing the Department of Hospitality. Previous roles highlight a strong background in administration, program management, and community outreach, with significant tenure at San Francisco Zen Center in various capacities. Lauren holds a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tulane University.

The teachings of the Buddha (Dharma) and the practices of Insight Meditation (vipassanā) and lovingkindness meditation (mettā) are at the heart of all the programs.
