Robert G. has worked in the software engineering and music industries since 2012. Robert began their career as a Music Producer for Sony/ATV Music Publishing in London, UK, working with artists such as Cheryl Cole, Connor Maynard and Krept and Konan. In 2015, they signed with Epic Records USA as an artist, supporting Meghan Trainor on their US tour along with Charlie Puth and achieving in excess of 100,000,000 streams on Youtube and Spotify. In 2019, they joined Afriex as a Software Developer, contributing to the front end development duties and constructing the payment send and receive app page. In 2020, they joined Financial Times as a Software Engineer and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, engineering code for Fastly CDN cost attribution using Python, Fastly Api and Graphite, developing a management system POC for third party editorial contributions and leading the development of Aurora DB Clusters for Grafana DB's using AWS Lambda, Docker, CloudFormation, MySql client and Python. Robert also joined splashmob as a Software Engineer, contributing to building the MVP for the Techstars program using vanilla JS and developing the React JS interface for the dashboard. Currently, they work as a Backend Engineer at Impala since 2021.
