Michael Owolabi

Michael Owolabi has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Spleet, a role they obtained in 2022. Prior to this, Michael worked as an Engineering Lead and a Senior Software Engineer at Spleet, where they played a key role in improving the platform's performance and latency issues, resulting in a significant reduction in latency and better user experience. Michael also mentored junior Software Developers during their time at Spleet.

Before joining Spleet, Michael worked as a Software Engineer at One Kiosk Africa in 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Andela, where they held the positions of Software Engineer and Product Coordinator/Scrum Master. In these roles, they contributed to the development of internal tools and applications, including a meeting room management application that saved the company money. Michael also gained experience in team dynamics and leadership while coordinating the launch of a product remotely with team members in Nairobi, Kenya.
