Miquel Vila-Perello

Miquel Vila-Perello's work experience begins in 2001 as a graduate student at Universitat de Barcelona. After completing their studies, they joined Universitat Pompeu Fabra as a postdoctoral fellow in 2005. In the same year, they also started working as a postdoctoral associate at Rockefeller University, where they stayed until 2011. At Rockefeller University, they held the roles of both a postdoctoral associate and a postdoctoral fellow.

In 2011, Miquel Vila-Perello joined Princeton University as a research scholar. While at Princeton, they focused on the development of intein-based technologies to modify proteins and study their function at the molecular level. Miquel also established and led the Protein Center in Frick Chemistry Laboratory, which housed instrumentation for the biophysical characterization of proteins and their interactions. Their tenure at Princeton University lasted until 2014.

In 2014, Miquel Vila-Perello became the CEO and CSO of ProteoDesign, a position they held until 2020. During their time at ProteoDesign, they served as both the CEO and the Chief Scientific Officer.

Finally, in 2020, Miquel Vila-Perello joined Splice Bio as the CEO and is currently in this position.

Miquel Vila-Perello pursued their education at the Universitat de Barcelona, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry in the year 2001. Following this, they continued their educational journey at the same university, culminating in the completion of their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry in 2005.
