Erik Curre

Erik Curre has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Erik began their career as an English Language Instructor at Gaba and Nova Group, teaching Japanese students. Erik then transitioned into software development, working as a Software Development Lead at Tropical Software, where they implemented encryption algorithms and did back-end programming.

Erik also gained experience in the financial industry, working as an Analyst at Barclays Capital and as a Software Engineer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In these roles, they developed trading platforms, extended existing functionality, and led evaluations of financial messaging APIs.

Erik later joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate, focusing on FX Trading & Sales Technology. Erik developed a web application and implemented bug fixes and feature enhancements using Java.

Erik's work continued to involve blockchain technology, as they became the Chief Financial Officer at BuildTeam - Blockchain Innovators. Erik facilitated payments to the development team using tokens and contributed to the enhancement of blockchain services.

Their most recent role is as a Software Engineer at Splinterlands, a blockchain-based digital trading card game. Erik is responsible for building core features of the game using Javascript and Node, including bug fixes and enhancements for both back-end and front-end systems.

Throughout their career, Erik has demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages, including C++, Java, Scala, and Visual C++, and has experience with technologies such as MongoDB and Sybase SQL. Erik has also served in management positions, led development teams, and conducted evaluations and comparisons for strategic decision-making.

Erik Curre attended the University of Washington from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
