Sara Minard

Sara Minard has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Sara most recently worked at Splinterlands as the Human Resources Director since May 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Human Resources Generalist at Splinterlands from April 2022 to May 2023.

Before joining Splinterlands, Sara worked at WVU Medicine. Sara served as the Manager of HR Benefits Administration from January 2021 to April 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Supervisor of HR/Benefits Administration from May 2019 to January 2021, and an HR/Benefits Specialist from June 2018 to May 2019.

Sara also gained experience working at Amazon as an HRA from January 2018 to May 2018, and at Black Box Network Services as an HR Representative from February 2017 to November 2017. Sara also worked at Allegheny Health Network as an HR Leave Specialist from June 2016 to February 2017.

Additionally, Sara has experience from their time at West Virginia University. Sara held various roles such as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2016 to May 2016, a Graduate Assistant with Career Services from August 2015 to January 2016, a 2016 MSIR Candidate from 2014 to 2016, and a Graduate Assistant from June 2014 to May 2015.

Sara also gained experience as an HR Intern at TE Connectivity from May 2015 to August 2015, and as a Student Worker at Extension Human Resources of West Virginia University from June 2012 to September 2014.

Early in their career, Sara worked as a Janitorial Services staff at ProPerformance Rx from May 2011 to September 2011.

Sara Minard completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from West Virginia University. Sara attended the university from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management from West Virginia University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Sara Minard has obtained various certifications. Sara earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI in November 2022. Sara also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Management & Strategy Institute, obtained in September 2020. In April 2020, they completed the Agile Project Management Fundamentals certification from the same institution. Lastly, they became a Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) through the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) in February 2020.
