In 2003, they worked as a Research Fellow at the European Space Agency, conducting independent research. From 2005 to 2006, they held a fixed-term research position in astrophysics at the Instituut voor sterrenkunde - K.U.Leuven, focusing on code development for radiative transfer computer simulations. Sacha then worked as an Astrophysics Research Project Coordinator at CEA from 2006 to 2012, where they led projects and performed data analysis on large datasets from space telescopes. They subsequently worked at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy as a Visiting Scientist in 2013.
