Geertje Algera

Geertje Algera is an experienced media trainer and public speaker with a focus on mobile journalism and smartphone videography. Since founding Geertje Algera Media in 2016, more than 5000 students have benefited from training sessions on video creation and editing. Geertje Algera has also delivered engaging presentations at numerous events, including the Landelijke conferentie Beeldcoaching and Social Media Dag Politie. In addition to media training, Geertje Algera serves as a board member of the GMR for SPO Utrecht, advocating for parental involvement in public education governance. With a background as a mobile journalist at KRO-NCRV and extensive experience in various media roles, Geertje Algera is committed to promoting visibility for women in the media. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and a BJ in Journalism from Hogeschool Utrecht.
