Douglas Markham

Douglas Markham has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Douglas began their career in 1992 as Corporate Controller for One Price Clothing Stores, Inc. Douglas then moved to Saks Incorporated in 1995, where they held the position of Senior Vice President & Controller. In 2006, they joined Books-A-Million, Inc. as Executive Vice President & CAO/CFO. In 2012, they started their own business, Douglas Markham, CPA, where they provided interim CFO support in the Life Insurance Brokerage Industry and analytical support in a Private Equity disposition. In 2013, they joined SPOC Automation as Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer.

Douglas Markham began their educational journey in 1974 when they attended the University of Kentucky for one year, studying Accounting. Douglas then transferred to The University of Texas at El Paso, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting in 1978. In 1983, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. In 1989, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant certification from the American Institute of Cetified Public Accountants (AICPA).
