Mark Smith is an experienced event supervisor currently overseeing the onsite execution of events at Spokane Public Facilities District since February 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a recreation assistant for the City of Spokane Valley and event conversion staff for the Portland Trail Blazers. Mark has held various positions in facilities and operations with Portland Parks & Recreation, a marketing internship with Terrapin Events, and gameday operations work at Concordia University-Portland. Early experience includes an operations internship with the Northwest Athletic Conference, athletic administration at Multnomah University, activities guiding at The Resort at Paws Up, and substitute teaching for Missoula County Public Schools. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Management and Administration from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance from The University of Montana-Western.
