Shilpa Bhatia

Shilpa Bhatia serves as the Director of Insurance and Claims at MultiCare Health System since July 2022, where responsibilities include establishing an in-house claims management program and leading commercial insurance placements. Previously, Shilpa held the position of Director of Risk and Claims at Providence St. Joseph Health from April 2015 to July 2022, managing a team of 20 professionals in resolving over 1,540 adverse occurrences and claims annually across a seven-state healthcare organization. Earlier in Shilpa's career, experience includes serving as Trial Attorney at Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson from 1998 to August 2013, and as an attorney in small litigation firms from 1993 to 1997. Shilpa holds a J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts with high honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
