Jiayao Yu

Jiayao Yu is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Linktree since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jiayao held various positions at Snap Inc. from January 2017 to August 2023, including Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included oversight of backend video transcoding and media playback for the Snapchat app, as well as recruitment of iOS, Android, and backend engineers. Jiayao's career also includes significant tenure at Google from January 2007 to January 2017, holding roles such as Tech Lead Manager and Senior Software Engineer, and earlier experience as a Software Engineer at Symbian Software Ltd from 2004 to 2007. Jiayao Yu's educational background includes studies in Computer Science at Stanford University from 2007 to 2008 and a degree from Lancaster University obtained between 2001 and 2004.
