Mariel Davis

Co-Founder & CXO at Spokn

Mariel Davis is the Co-Founder and CXO at Spokn. Prior to this, they were the Senior Manager of Communications and Partnerships at Education For Employment - Global (EFE-Global) from July 2011 to December 2019. There, they led EFE's internal and external communications as the company scaled into 12 countries and was named one of the top social startups globally by the World Economic Forum. From January 2011 to July 2011, Mariel worked as a Program Consultant at the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative where they designed professional development events for women law students and local attorneys. Mariel also helped coordinate a domestic violence project and handled communications in Arabic. From August 2010 to July 2011, Mariel was a Fellow at Georgetown University's Qatar Scholarship Program where they advanced their study and research in Media and Literary Arabic through Georgetown University and Qatar University fellowship. Prior to that, Mariel served as an AmeriCorps Development and PR Coordinator at the Arab American Association of New York from August 2009 to August 2010. Mariel began their career as an Exhibit Co-Coordinator Intern at Tomorrow's Youth Organization from June 2009 to January 2010.

Mariel Davis attended Columbia University where they earned a B.A. with Magna Cum Laude (high honors) from the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mariel then went on to Georgetown University to earn an Advanced Arabic Certificate in Arabic Language. After that, they earned a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Global Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Mariel Davis is also a Founding Community Member with certification from LifeLabs Learning.

They are on a team with Mohammad Galal - Head, Engineering, Leandro Brasil - Principal Product Designer, and Youmna Magdi - Operations Lead. A direct report to Mariel Davis is and Katy Iza - Senior Manager, CX. Mariel Davis reports to Fawzy Abu Seif, Co-Founder & CEO.
