Mena Mark Hanna

Mena Mark Hanna currently serves as the General Director and CEO of Spoleto Festival USA since October 2021. Prior to this role, Mena was with the Barenboim-Said Akademie from November 2014 to October 2021, where Mena held the positions of Founding Dean and Professor of Musicology and Composition, overseeing the strategic and operational organization of the Akademie's artistic and educational initiatives. Mena's extensive experience also includes serving as the Assistant Artistic Director and Dramaturg at Houston Grand Opera from October 2011 to October 2014, contributing to artistic leadership and production research. Additional roles include lecturer at Rice University, Assistant to the President and CEO at Opus 3 Artists, and Graduate Tutor at the University of Oxford. Mena holds a DPhil and MSt in Music from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Temple University.
