Helena Kaikkonen is currently an Education Team Lead and Front-End Team Member at the Husky Coding Project, where contributions include developing a website called Billboard that interacts with Spotify's Web API and creating a responsive web page for a new student organization. Helena serves as the Lead Mentor for the Changemakers in Computing program at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, focusing on curriculum development that addresses technology ethics for underrepresented high school demographics. Additional roles include teaching assistant for CSE 12X at the University of Washington and prior mentorship experience in the Changemakers in Computing program. Helena's background includes participation in the MIT Women's Technology Program in Mechanical Engineering and choral singing with Columbia Choirs of Metropolitan Seattle. Helena is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Washington, expected to graduate in June 2026, after completing secondary education at Lake Washington High School.
