Louise Upton has over two decades of experience in public health and education. Currently serving as Strategic Lead for Local Learning and Improvement at Sport England since September 2018, Louise has also held the role of Head of the Local Learning and Improvement Hub. Prior to this, Louise worked at Derby City Council from August 2001 to August 2018 as a Senior Public Health Manager and Healthy Schools Programme Manager. Louise began the professional journey as a teacher at Chellaston Infant School from January 1999 to July 2001. Academic qualifications include a Masters in Public Health from the University of Derby (2013-2014) and a Bachelor of Education in Maths and Physical Education from the same institution (1994-1998).
